OUR GREEN PLAN
We are committed to sustainable entertainment, because you
can’t laugh if you can’t breathe. To that end, we
promise to make every effort to tread lightly on the earth as we
entertain, including but not limited to:
- Using laptops or computers with flat panel monitors,
which use less energy.
- Using CFLs and efficient appliances in our work
spaces and anywhere else we can.
- Sorting all waste into reusables, compostables,
recyclables, and actual trash.
- Serving food (craft services, catering, etc.) that is
local and organic whenever possible, as well as creating menus that
center around vegetarian and sustainable fare.
- Dishing up our meals on compostable plates, with
compostable cutlery.
- Using the most responsible forms of transportation
possible.
- Trying whenever possible to acquire costumes, props
and set decorations second-hand or by renting, borrowing, yard sale-ing
or using sites like freecycle.org and craigslist.org so we
don’t have to buy new items, generating new production waste.
And when the show is over, return, reselling and/or donating our
leftover items rather than throwing them away.
- Cleaning up without the use of bleach or
harsh/toxic/non-biodegradable cleansers.
